Playing in 2010 - New Registration Process to be Trialled

In 2010 the Club will trial a new registration process.

In January, all 2009 Club members will be emailed a completed registration form by Registration Secretary, Sally Marsden. These will require checking and returning either by mail or email and will then be acknowledged with the player’s medical form, which will also need to be returned.

A shorter Registration Day will then be held for players that are new to the Club from 10am – 1pm on Sunday 28 February 2010 at the Community Rooms, Brunswick St Oval. New players should bring a completed Registration Form and a photocopy of their birth certificate or passport. A completed YJFL Registration and Transfer form must also be provided.

Again next season, we aim to field only two teams in each age group and ONLY players who register before or on Registration Day will be guaranteed a place in a team.
Any players who register after two teams are formed in their age group will be placed on a waiting list, but may not get an opportunity to play. All players must be financial before the first round of the season and no registrations will be accepted after the end of the grading rounds.

The first game next season will be on Sunday April 11.
In 2009 we participated in a very successful practice match day with the Ivanhoe Club. They have suggested a similar day for 2010. Watch this space for further details.

Royboys in the U18 Vic Metro Squad

Congratulations to ex FJFC players Viv Michie and Dylan Buckley who have both been named in the U18 Vic Metro squad for 2010.

Viv (below left) is currently at the Oakleigh Chargers and Dylan (below right) is at the Northern Knights.
