well the gradings over and it’s gold, gold, gold for us, not there is
anything wrong with that, I love a challenge we will all be better for
it..... see this weeks fixture below, Warrandyte are 5th we are 6th on the        
ladder this is a must win!!

Back to the game......and what a game, we won’t get to many like this
one...... for us an opportunity to get some much needed percentage, it may
well be the difference between making the finals or missing out. Just
remember that next time you think its time to take it easy, you can do that
when the games finished.

We have had some pretty good starts to matches in the past but this one
would rate a highly as any, Calum cut loose and kicked 4 straight, the
teamwork was brilliant, everybody was working together which allowed Calum
to finish off the good work. You know I don’t care who kicks the goals.....
I know it’s fun to do so but you have to get the ball first, everybody
contributes. That tackle by Luke was every bit as good as a goal and
probably allowed Calum to kick one of the four. Nathan Ligris was off to a
flyer as well, a dangerous man when he has an opponent..... deadly without
one. Danny and I couldn’t believe it took Bulleen so long to realise how
much damage he was doing.
We dominated the first quarter so much that the backline were getting
cold.......I had my first request to move to the forward line at quarter
time..... not that I can blame them for that...... everybody wants a piece
of the action. (Ahh.... the Sweet loved em when I was 12, still do....a
bit!)

But we all know Ramo and how it plays, its a big advantage if you use the                                   CONGRATULATIONS HARIS 50 GAMES 
wind correctly and I thought the backline would soon be warming up.
Wrong..... another dominant quarter, we were just to good, they were really
bad, doing all the things bad teams do. Like blind kicking, (I love it when
the opposition blind kick). Not chasing, dropping easy marks, not manning        
up, etc etc, and with our middfield dominating even with the wind they
didn’t score. The only problem being that you could sense that we were
starting to kick chase, everybody wanted to kick a goal.....not a good sign.

Half time, yeah we all knew the game was over, it was just a matter of how
far and how many Cal would kick although he had not added to his tally in
the 2nd......big Nathan F had l kicked a couple(I hear he was spewing after
missing out last week, good to see, he is in great form...... career best!)

Anyway I thought I would move a few players around to let them have some
action, its only fair.... with the wind we should kick another 4 or 5 this
quarter, but the kick a goal, glory chasing went into overload. We had
plenty of the ball but blazed away, forgot about the team, it was me, me,
me, and we got what we deserved, we were outscored with a four goal wind, a
good lesson for everybody and time for me to lay down the law (Coach at
grumpy 3 quarter time).

The final quarter was another good one we went back to playing like a team,
it was great to see, I’m wrapped with the way we are playing. I truly
believe we can challenge the really good teams if we are willing to work on
the track and for each other. It was also great to see Jack and Bobby, have
their best games to date, Louie and Michael mark and goal to finish the game
off. And lets not forget Mr 50 games, big Haris really relishing his footy
at the moment. Oh and birthday boy James Hodder seemed to be enjoying
himself at CHF (first 3 quarters) even if under 13s are to cool to sing
happy birthday (Saturday training I tried but failed).

Believe it or not unless we make the finals we have only ten games left this
year, no room for complacency, this week get bed to be early, these guys
are good we will need be switched on!

Training from 4.10 to 5.30 get there as early as you can.
