Match Report

Round 12 - Camberwell

This weeks match was against Camberwell who had won against us earlier in the season, played at Camberwell, on a fine, sunny but windy day.

The first quarter opened up with the boys fighting hard, in a strong cross wind, and winning most of the contested ball.  This resulted in a 2 goal to nil quarter, giving the team a well deserved lead at quarter time.

The second quarter was more of the same, with neither team able to kick a goal in a very spirited match.

The third quarter was again close and hard fought, with neither team being able to control the match, but through their hard work, the Roys were able to edge a goal further ahead by three quarter time.

The last quarter saw the Roys breaking through for a couple of goals to seal a hard fought win in a match that was much closer than the scoreboard showed.

It was a great effort where everyone showed great determination, team spirit, great defence, and some great passages of team play.  Well done team !
