WHAT COULD BE BETTER!!!

MATCH REPORT
ROUND 15
Another Sunday, another soggy ground, more muddy footy gear to wash. Overnight rain had left the ground at Warrandyte awash and coach Andy had to chase a couple ducks off the field before play could commence.
Fitzroy started strongly in the mud. Our reliable defence players held firm and didn't allow Warrandyte to score a goal during the first half. Riley, Harry P and Fraser worked beautifully together deep in the back line, well supported by Oskar, Lewis and Harrison across half back. At the centre of the ground, Ben Mac, Tom, Daniel, Hugh and Charlie used speed and strength to deliver the ball forward resulting in Fitzroy kicking a couple of goals before quarter time, the first a lovely transition from Ben Mac to Ben Cap who marked and kicked truly, the second a lovely running goal by Micah.
A change of ends and Fitzroy continued to build a lead. In tough conditions, Anthony, Hugh and Ned kept the ball moving. Daniel delivered to Ben Cap who goaled, Aiden executed a clever goal on the run and Harrison booted an excellent goal after being awarded a free kick. At half time Fitzroy had a handy lead, 5.4 (34) to 0.3 (3), and the rain started to fall.
During the third quarter, Oskar continued his brilliant form at half back, running through the packs, grabbing the ball and leaving a trail of stunned opposition players in his wake while Micah, under pressure, seemed to have all the time in the world to pass the ball out of packs to team mates. A skilful Micah handball to David resulted in a goal. Excellent teamwork by Charlie and Harrison gave Aiden the opportunity to score his second goal and Harry D-T kicked from the boundary line to Ben Cap who kicked accurately again. After the final break, Harrison goaled with a soccer off the ground then beautiful team work across the back line fed the ball to Hugh who kicked to Ben Cap, another goal the result. Harrys P and D-T, David, Lewis, Riley and Charlie were great contributors during the last quarter and Fitzroy finished the game comfortable winners, 10.7 (61) to 2.6 (18).
