Stradbroke Park in Kew (Melways 45 K4) will host three of our sides, starting with the U10 Golds at 10.30am, followed by the U14 Blues at 12.30pm and the U12 Browns from 2.45pm. And don’t forget the U13 Browns, who head out to Ivanhoe Park (31 H9) for a noon start after a hard fought preliminary final win on the weekend. All players, parents, siblings and supporters are invited back to the Fitzroy Bowling Club from 5pm to swap war stories and hopefully show off some premiership medals. Congratulations to the U11 Blues, U15 (Div 1) and Colts (Div 2) sides who all made it as far as the Preliminary Final after excellent seasons. Roys Scoop Awards on Gala NightIn an exciting night for family and friends, no fewer than five FJFC stars took home League Best & Fairest Awards at the YJFL Awards Night on Tuesday 24 August. The night started with Matteo Bombardieri winning the U10 Black B&F, followed quickly by Harrison Grace taking out the U10 Gold top prize. Ray Hunter won the U12 Brown B&F with 35 votes and Isaac Wattis took home the U14 Green honours. Hugh Curnow rounded out a great night for the Roys by winning the U15 Div B&F, well deserved after some close calls in previous years. Some of our Award winners (and

Raphael Barresi was runner up in the U11 Blue division, and Gus Richardson and Michael Ercolana were 2nd and 3rd respectively in U13 Brown. Others to finish in the top ten included Jack Hart (U10 Gold), Ted Clayton and Nino Lazzaro (U11 Gold), Luke Minahan (U11 Green), Josh Wall (U12 Blue), Digby Houghton and Ahmed Saleem (U14 Blue), David Cappellari (U15 Div 1) and Dylan O’Neill (Colts Div 2). This is a part-time paid position.
