The game started badly for Fitzroy with Brendan getting a ball to
the head. After that they played fantastically. But Beverly scored
two goals in the space of a minute. Then the Roys scored their first
point followed by another.
Both teams started off the quarter brilliantly but it was Beverly
who came up with the first goal. Another quick one put Beverly well
in front. Fitzroy tackled sensationally and then got a point to finish
the half. The half time score was 43-4.
Beverly opened the scoring with two points but Fitzroy came back
to score a goooooooaaaaal closely followed by another. Some great
footy put Fitzroy in a really good position. Roys scored two points
and a goal after the siren.
The last quarter was tough as both teams fought as hard as they could.
Eddie scored a great goal out of a ball up and another to make up
for the one he scored for Beverly. The final score was 51-38.
