Round 15 Match Report

Congratulations Roys on a great finish to Season 2009 with a win away at Warrandyte.  Our first half of footy was the best we have played all year - not a single passenger across the ground, every player putting in at the contest, battling hard for the ball, running into space, calling for the ball, running in numbers to support team mates and hard at it when we turned the ball over.  Had we kicked more accurately at goal we would have been 10-12 goals up at half time but it was a pleasure to watch such effective team-oriented footy.  We couldn't manage quite the same level of intensity in the 2nd half with just one on the bench this week but still managed to run the game out and to outscore Warrandyte in all 4 quarters.  A particular highlight was the gusto with which we belted out the Club song for the 1st time for weeks and the last time for this year.
